The Sacred Clans of StarClan: Dark Times

It was such a long time ago...

The great Clans of the forest were at the time flourshing. With strong leaders and warriors, it seemed the Clans would live for eons more. But then the tradgic event whiped the thought from existance.
Some rouges passed through the Clan area. At first, nothing was thought of them, until the medicine cats saw they were sickly. Instantly, the rouges were driven away from the Clan territory, in fear their sickness would pass on. Unfortunately, it was too late. The first to contract the disease were the kits in the nursery, since they are so prone to illness for their under-developed immune system. Next, elders fell ill, which shortly died afterwards. Kits soon became a rare sight. Medicine cats worked tirelessly trying to find a antidote for this monsterous sickness, one even worked itself to its death.
For many moons, the disease worked its way around the Clans, killing cats in its wake. Few survived, and most of the survivors became rougues. However, StarClan never gave up on the Clans. To some loyal Clan cats that still chose to follow the warrior code, StarClan sent a prophecy:

Although the stars have darkened, The blood river runs dry, Those who follow its path, Will find themselves to die, But to those who follow the stars, Will see a light afar, And those who follow it, Will have the Clans once more.

So the loyal cats followed the trail of stars in the sky, and soon they arrived at a new home, free from disease. There, they created the Clans, with StarClan once again watching them. However, that was many moons ago, more than one can count, and trouble once again arrives for the Clans. Disasters are happening frequently, and the days seem to be short. Is StarClan trying to push them away? Or was the remake of the Clans never meant to be...?

[ ]>ThunderClan Camp
The ThunderClan camp resides in the usual forest. Surrounded by brambles and dense forest, it is well hidden and easily protected. However, disasters such as fire can easily rip apart this advantage. Obviously, ThunderClan here lives in a forest, consisting of more deciduous tress than coniferious. This means leafbare and leaf-fall has less prey.

[ ]>Clearing
In the immense forest there happens to be a clearing in the ThunderClan territory. This clearing has sun pour down from above into it, making it warm. Elders come here to relax. Apprentices can also train here with their mentors, so they can practice fighting without hitting trees or scaring much prey. This place it close to camp and easily accessable.

[ ]>Forest Stream
Cuttung straight through the ThunderClan territory is a water stream. Crystal clear and cold, it makes a perfect drink, but is sadly farther from the camp than the Clan would like. Apprentices wet their moss for the elders here. It is not very deep and cats cannot drown in it. It connects to RiverClan's river, but no fish swim in its waters.

[ ]>Redwood Pillar
Or simply known as "the Redwood", it is by far the tallest tree in all the Clans. Towering far above the ThunderClan canopy, it is physically impossible to climb. Some other redwoods exist in the Clan territory, but they are still growing and haven't exeeded to the huge height of the Redwood pillar. Apprentices can challenge themselves to see who can climb highest.

>>ShadowClan
[ ]>ShadowClan Camp
ShadowClan here managed to find a marshland to their liking. The camp seems to be the only dry place in the whole territory. Mist constantly covers the area, making the visability difficult. This is ShadowClan's protection, since they know the territory well enough to navigate without sight. Sickholes are also a factor in the area, making it dangerous for kits and intruders.

in In The Shadows..
[ ]>Mud Pit
A sinkhole near the ShadowClan camp which is extremely dangerous. Many cats' lives have been lost from slipping into the mud and sufficating in the slippery mess. Kits are told at a very young age to always avoid the mud pit. It is a good defence from enemy attacks since it is in a good route for a sneak attack.
00
[ ]>Reedbed
A reebed around the camp. It is used for defence but prey can be found here. With cattails and flies, it creates the perfect swamp setting. The stems are used for bedding and possibly herbs if the medicine cat can find use for them. The ground around the reeds are soft and spoungey making it easy to stalk.
00
[ ]>Clear Stream
Although most of the ShadowClan territory is water, the water is dirty and nearly undrinkable. The edge of ShadowClan land is more grassy than swampy as it leads to WindClan, so inside is a small stream in which the Clan cats can drink. The WindClan cats nearby are always worried since ShadowClan cats come so close to their territory when they have to drink. And since raids have been happening frequently...
00
>>WindClan
[ ]>WindClan Camp
The WindClan camp is similar to the one before in the old area. The dens are basically burrows so the Clan can have shelter in a vast grassland where they live. Nearby the camp roars the Thunderpath that can keep young kits up at night. Since there are in burrows, there is a fear of rain for it could flood inside them.
00
[ ]>Thunderpath
The horrifying Twoleg Thunderpath that seems to enter its way into every area the Clans settle. This Thunderpath runs through the WindClan and RiverClan area. This creation has claimed so many cat lives, and there will be many to come. Injuries here often cause death or impairment, so the duties of warrior cannot be continued. This Thunderpath isn't too busy, but still dangerous.
00
[ ]>Jagged Cliffs
These cliffs are the cause of an old river that has dried up. It eroded the moorland and created the ditch and then the walls crumbled away to make cliffs. They are somewhat dangerous, as long as one knows where they are, it is safe. It can be decieving, for it seems like part of the horizon from far off, when it actually drops down.
00
[ ]>Plains
What WindClan is mainly made of. The plains contain hardly any shelter, so WindClan cats have to rely on speed to capture their prey, since stealth is hardly an option. Since the only shelter is in the WindClan camp, raiders here can have trouble coaping with harsh weather if it hits. The plains are vast here and on a higher level, basically a plateau, so one can see almost all the Clan areas from it.

[ ]>RiverClan Camp
The RiverClan camp is near the river in which the Clan relies on for their survival. Reeds suround the camp like in ShadowClan, however there are no trees around or mist, so it is often sunny. The only tree in the residence is one oak tree which the leader lives under. The camp can be easily detected for the smell of fish it always emits.

[ ]>River
This is the thing that makes RiverClan, well, RiverClan. The Clan's very survival is on this fish-filled waters. This practically divides RiverClan from the other Clans by the way it loops around the territory. After leaf-bare the river has been known to flood, and during greenleaf the waters get less due to the heat. Leaf-bare also means less fish. Dispite the seasonal difficulties, it is a efficient resource.

in [Fun in the River]
[ ]>Thunderpath
The same Thunderpath that runs through WindClan. Once again, the deadly monsters that run down the road here have claimed countless lives. RiverClan has less to worry about it, however, for the part that goes over the river lifts into the sky, so cats cannot cross it and monsters cannot come down. A strange thing, for a bridge is an uncommon thing to see for the Clans.
00
[ ]>Small Forest
A small forest in the RiverClan territory which provides food when the fish are less in the river. This is argues about in Gatherings, saying RiverClan shouldn't own a forest and the river. The forest is small and the few trees are pine. Shrews and voles and some squirrels can be found there, but not much else. It is basically a last resort.
00
>>SkyClan
[ ]>SkyClan Camp
The farther away SkyClan lives in a rocky area. This was their home before the Clans came here, so they are please and annoyed that the other Clans have finally come at last. The camp is in a cave in the stone walls of the cliffs, so it is easily guarded as there is only one way in. Without a raid in a long time, however, it's unknown how warriors will act in a raid..
00
[ ]>Craig
A rugged rock at the base of the chasm SkyClan lives in. The craigh is very large, and mice are often found underneath it. It has some points, so falling on it or off it can be dangerous and cause injury. The leader of SkyClan may address their Clan here if they please, since their voice will be able to be heard throughout the chasm.
00
[ ]>Small Waterfall
Dripping down from the top of the cliffs is a stream, which turns into a waterfall. Here the Clan can get their water. The water ends up on the ground, and dissapears under ground, so the only place where the water can be drunken from is the fall and the top. The fall is not very powerful, more of a steady stream that goes down, so it can be easily drunken.
00
[ ]>Dark Cave
Another cave in SkyClan's canyon. The Clan does not use this cave for any purpose, for a strange reason the other Clans do not know of. It is said this cave is the link to the Dark Forest, like Mooncave is the link to StarClan. One entering the Dark Cave hardly ever comes out sane, or comes out at all. It is at the far side of the territory, for the Clan stays far away from it.
00
>>Other Areas
[ ]>Mooncave
Much like the Moonstone, then the Moonpool, and the Moontree before that, there is now Mooncave. Unlike the links to StarClan before, Mooncave is more of a destination than a object, since one who enters the cave to the point where moonlight filters in, they will recieve dreams from StarClan instantly. The walls are lined with diamond stones, which shine at night when the moon is high. The cave is long and goes underground, but at the end there is a hole at the roof when the moon can send in its light.
00
[ ]>Five Stone Plateau
A plateau where most of the Clans connect, it is where Gatherings are held. At the center of the raised land are five boulders, where the leaders sit. The five stones symbolize that SkyClan once again is ready to join the Clans, but the other Clans are weary of a fifth Clan suddenly appearing. The Clans must come here every full moon under truce to reveal Clan news.
00
[ ]>Twoleg Place
In almost every land, Twolegs are there. This time the Twolegs aren't much of a factor to the Clans, since the Twoleg place is quite far from the Clans. The only Twoleg thing that affects them is the Thunderpath and the monsters. Here, kittypets live in gardens and live pampered lives. But, who knows, perhaps there is a leader amongst them...
00
[ ]>Outcast Land
Rogues and loners live here. It is a vast, scrubby field that holds few food. It is one reason on why rougues and loners sometimes come to the Clan lands to feed, which is not well appreciated. Exiled cats live here too, which is a hard life, since it is every cat for themselves. Wild dogs have been seen roaming around it, along with hawks circling above.
